We’re excited to share that Mountain Muskox is launching a pilot series of peer support circles in Whistler, BC this fall.
As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting mountain communities through trauma-informed care, we’ll be hosting four professionally facilitated peer support circles in Whistler this October-February. These circles are open to anyone who has experienced trauma or loss in mountain environments - including recreationalists, first responders, and mountain professionals.
Why Whistler?
Like many of our other circle locations, Whistler is a high-exposure, tightly woven mountain town with a distinct set of community needs. While close to our established Squamish chapter, it has its own, sometimes unique networks of outdoorspeople who may benefit from localized support. With generous support from the Whistler Blackcomb Foundation, we’re exploring the possibility of a dedicated Whistler circle by piloting four gatherings this fall and learning what the community needs most.
Fall 2025 Pilot Dates:
Wednesday, October 9, 6-9 PM.
Monday, December 2, 6-9 PM.
January date TBD
February date TBD
What to Expect
Mountain Muskox circles are facilitated by experienced, trauma-informed clinicians in a confidential and supportive setting. The sessions offer space to connect with others who understand, and to begin or continue the healing process in a compassionate, safe environment.
This pilot series is a starting point - a chance to listen, learn, and grow. Whether the path forward is a stand-alone Whistler circle or a blended Sea to Sky approach, we want to co-create it with the community.
