“As we spend time in the mountains and enjoy the breathtaking and profoundly altering experiences offered by mountaineering, we are bound to come across tragedy and loss. This ambivalent reality is a challenge for all of us at The Alpine Club of Canada: why something we love so much can also bring such pain and hardship. The Mountain Muskox Mentorship Program is an initiative that seeks to address this by providing support to those who have faced loss or trauma in the mountains. We are honored and humbled to partner with them.”
